Connections is a small group ministry at Arlington Street Church. Connections groups consist of 6 – 10 people who will meet regularly to engage in:

  • Spiritual Seeking. To deepen our spiritual lives and build on the benefits we receive from our regular worship services.
  • Caring. To extend the ministry at Arlington Street Church by caring for and ministering to one another.
  • Intellectual Exploration. To expand our understanding of the world and ways to demonstrate our Unitarian Universalist principles in our lives.
  • Community Building. To relationships among members and friends, old and new.
  • Living Our Values. To engage in service projects to benefit the Arlington Street Church community, the neighborhood, or the larger society.

The purpose of Connections groups is to establish an intentional practice to help us better realize our mission as a religious community, to deepen the spiritual, intellectual, caring, and service aspects of our Unitarian Universalist movement and our own congregation. Connections groups are based on the Small Group Ministry model which has been successful in many other Unitarian Universalist churches; the structures we have chosen draw from experience at other churches as well as Arlington Street’s own Small Group Ministries over the years.

All groups are led by trained facilitators who are Arlington Street Church members or staff.
